The Mountain Road corridor of Glen Allen runs from Staples Mill Road through the original railroad village of Old Glen Allen. Linden Point
New, low-maintenance homes in one of the area’s newest gated community at the corner of Mountain, Springfield and Staples Mill Roads. This non-age restricted neighborhood of 33, 4-sided brick, Charlestonian-style homes feature many options. There are plans for first floor owner suites and plans for second floor suites. The neighborhood is being developed by HHHunt.

CrossRidge
Marketed as an active adult community located on a 400-acre site off Staples Mill Road that was the former Ridge Farm. The last owners of Ridge Farm, the Cross family (hence the name CrossRidge), sold the property at the turn of the millennium to Courtney Development, Inc., a partnership of Atack Properties and Eagle Construction of Virginia. Courtney developed the CrossRidge concept, a community comprising several villages or neighborhoods, all providing age-qualified housing under the Federal Housing For Older Persons Act (HOPA). Each household in CrossRidge must have at least one resident 55 years of age or older, and no resident may be younger than 18 years of age. Construction of the community began in 2001. Upon completion, the community will number about 1300 residents in 756 homes.

The Oaks at Cross Ridge
Is a non-age restricted community with Large homes with big yards featuring 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms built by Eagle Construction. This neighborhood is just off Staples Mill Road.

Barrington

Bentley
This is a new community being developed by Ryan Homes. The model is open and Ryan is offering 6 different floor plans on its 45 lot phase 1. Berkeley
Berkeley consists of 3 neighborhoods – Luxford, Stanwood and Hillshire. There is a community playground between the Luxford and Stanwood neighborhoods. Sizes and prices of homes are graduated from Luxford to Stanwood to Hillshire. Berkeley is located on the South side of Nuckols Road, east of Pouncey Tract Road and there is a road that will eventually be open through Luxford into Grey Oaks.

Bridlewood
The community includes 15 private homesites on 5 – 15 acre lots. Homes in this quiet neighborhood very rarely come on the market.

Burgundy Parke
A nice blend of contemporary and traditional construction makes up this 95 home community. Mike Dumont and Tuckahoe Builders were some of the builders in this community that spans in size of homes between 3,200 and 4,400 sqft and mostly brick homes with mature trees and winding streets.

Cambridge
These quality built homes are some of the largest and best-built on the Nuckols Road Corridor with an average square footage of 3,800. Cambridge was developed by Wilton Development Corporation, the group that is now developing Covington. All 43 homes in this community are brick or dryvit front (some are all-brick). The lot sizes are gracious – many have a wooded backyard. These homes would be comparable in size and quality of construction to the new Covington or possibly the Estates at Hampshire.

Chapelwood
A small community of 32 homes built between 1993 and 1995 by Colonial Homecrafters and Lifestyle Builders, homes in this neighborhood range in size between 1,600 and 2,200 sq.ft., have vinyl siding and sell in the $200,000’s.

Church Run

225 homes make up this popular west end neighborhood, with an option to join a pool and tennis association.  Homes were built by a variety of builders in the late 1980s and early to mid 1990s. Most homes are between 2,400 and 3,500 sq.ft. with a 2 car garage.

Cambridge
Eight home sites make up the quiet Cambridge neighborhood, on the far western side of Henrico County. These homes are nestled between the backyards of Wyndham homes and the Cosby Farm. Each home site is a minimum of 2 acres.

Covington
The new community of 60+ homes was developed by Wilton Enterprises and is near completion. A second phase may be opened. Plans call for a community play area. Spec homes are still available in this new neighborhood that is adjacent to Dominion Hills and is located at the intersection of Nuckols Road and Shady Grove Road. Many top quality builders such as Mike Dumont and J.R. Walker & Company have built in Covington.

Cross Creek
This is a quiet, tree filled community of 72 custom built homes on lots ranging from 1.5 acres to over 5 acres. Homes vary from traditional all brick colonials with columns to Victorian. Most were built between 1988 and 1992. There are no remaining lots for sale.

Dominion Hills
Located on the East side of Wyndham, north of Nuckols Road, Dominion Hills consists of 72 homes, most of which feature vinyl siding with an average size of 2,700 square feet. Dominion Hills was developed by Eagle Construction in the late 1990’s and sits on an old farm, so trees among the homes are limited, however, many of the homes have a tree filled backyard. The final two homes in Dominion Hills were built in 2005 by Quality Builders.

Fox Hall
A very popular West End planned community consisting of 394 homes ranging in price from $350,000 to over $1,000,000. New construction of executive style homes is still available in the final section of this neighborhood. Email Skye for information about these new homes. Fox Hall has a community association with a club house, pool and tennis.

Gayton Station
Made up of 172 homes with various builders, Gayton Station was developed in the early to mid 1990’s and consists mostly of vinyl sided homes ranging in the 2,000 to 2,700 sq.ft. range.

Graham Meadows
The 63 home Graham Meadows neighborhood was built in 1998 and has vinyl siding homes ranging in sized between 2,000 and 2,600 sq.ft.

Grey Oaks
Streets are continuing to go in on this Boone Development that will eventually house 400 families as well as a number of town homes. The community pool and clubhouse is scheduled to be completed by summer 2007. Price ranges for the homes are $500,000 to well over a million. They are just beginning construction on a section that will have acre plus lots and be priced in the $1 million range. Hampshire
Hampshire is divided into 3 areas – the Estates at Hampshire, Hampshire and Hampshire South. The development is located at the Southwest corner of Shady Grove and Nuckols Road. In all, the Hampshire communities consist of approximately 225 homes.

Hampton Forest
Hampton Forest is a small community of 3 cul-de-sacs consisting of 17 homes built by Centex in 2001. Hampton Forest is on the North side of Nuckols Road, between Cambridge and Westchase. Homes in Hampton Forest are approximately 3,100 square feet and lots are similar in size to Cambridge.

Henley
A new community developed by Parker Orleans that has completed the land clearing process and the first of these estate sized homes have been completed. Plans call for 60 home sites on a minimum of 1 acre lots. Home prices start at $850,000. This neighborhood is located on Pouncey Tract Road just West of Nuckols.

Hickory Grove
A Ryan Homes town home community priced in the mid $200's. Two floor plans were built, both with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and street parking.

Kimberwicke
This community of 44 homes was developed by The Dominion Land and Development Partnership and built by Dobson & Ryan Homes beginning in 1997. Most homes in this neighborhood are brick front with vinyl siding. Kimberwicke is located near the “back entrance” of Wyndham between Crosscreek and Wyndham.

Milhaven

Built in the early to mid 1990’s this popular west end neighborhood is known for it’s cul-de-sac living! Homes are mostly between 2,500 and 3,200 sq.ft., with hardboard siding and 2 car garages.  There were a handful of builders in this community.

Millrace
A newer quality built community consisting of 36 homes mostly with 3 side brick and almost all homes have at least 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Conveniently located on Shady Grove Road behind Deep Run high school. Many of these homes were custom built by small scale builders and have unusual features.

Millstone
Millstone is a community of just over 200 homes that is directly adjacent to Wyndham and, if you didn’t know it, you would think you were in the Wyndham neighborhood since the roads are all connected. Millstone has a community playground and walking paths. Membership to the Wyndham Swim & Racquet Club is available to a set number of Millstone residents for an additional fee.

Morgan Run
Built by Stern Homes between 1991 and 1993, this 34 home community has homes with vinyl siding and mid-range sized (2,500 to 3,500 sq.ft.).

Northbrooke
Developed by Crimson Bay Cove and built between 1994 and 1998, Northbrooke consists mostly of homes in the 2,200 to 2,900 sq.ft. range. There were a number of different builders in this community.

Sedgemoor Oaks
A community of 20 brick front homes built in 2000-2001 by Zeigler with sizes ranging from the high 2,000 sq.ft. range to the mid 4,000 sq.ft. range. 

Shady Grove Estates
This is a quiet, established community of 68 homes built on lots ranging from 1 acre to over 7 acres. This neighborhood is conveniently located on the West Side of Pouncy Tract right before the Nuckols Road intersection, directly across from Grey Oaks with great proximity to all the Short Pump attractions without the noise and congestion. These homesites are on private well and septic. County utilities should be installed in the next few years.

Shady Ridge
Located off Cauthorne Road, backing onto the new Covington development, Shady Ridge consists of 70 homes ranging from 3 bedroom 2 ½ bath to 5 bedroom 4 ½ bath mostly vinyl homes. The north side of Shady Ridge is on the Pawmunkey River and many of these lots are very private.

Townes at Shady Grove
A Ryan Homes town home community located conviently on Shady Grove Road Between Nuckols and Twin Hickory Drive. Homes have 1 car attached garage and 1st floor master bedrooms. Prices start in the high $200's.

Turnberry
A new community being developed by Centex Homes and currently being constructed. Plans call for two phases. Phase 1 will have 24 single family homes. Phase 2 will have 39 single family homes. All lots are over .25 of an acre and all floor plans are more than 2,500 sq. ft. Twin Hickory
Twin Hickory is a planned community of over 1000 homes and condominiums located between Nuckols Road and Shady Grove and Pouncey Tract Roads. Twin Hickory has two community pools, tennis and basketball courts, walking trails as well as a number of community events. New construction in Twin Hickory is available in the Hickory Woods and Cobblestone Landing single family home neighborhoods, as well as the townhomes and Belmont Park condominiums.

Wellesley

Wellesley is comprised of 788 single family, town home and condominium homes – mostly built in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Wellesley is anchored with a Towne Center that is accessibly to every home owner via 3 miles of pedestrian paths. You will find a private clubhouse, Olympic-sized pool, tennis facilities and much more in this sought after planned community.

West Chase
This is a community of 36 homes with an average size of 2,750 square feet developed by Ryan Homes in 2000. Many of these homes have a finished third floor and many have a partial brick front and side entry garage.

Windsor Place West
127 mostly brick homes, many custom built by Clyde Gauldin, with cedar shake roofs. This neighborhood began construction in 1990 – and construction continued with a few lots still available into the 2000’s. This convenient location is a popular area for local executives.

Wyndham
Wyndham is a planned community of over 1600 homes, condominiums and apartments situated around the private Dominion Club golf course and developed by HHHunt. Some Wyndham amenities include a community pool, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, over 3 miles of walking trails, and a variety of community events such as a Fall Festival, a Crab Feast and Spring Fling. There is no more new construction in Wyndham. Home prices in Wyndham range from $215,000 to well over $1,000,000.

Wyndham Forest
Wyndham Forest is located North of Nuckols Road between Cauthorne and Shady Grove Roads and was built in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. The HHHunt Wyndham Forest development is divided into 3 areas – Wyndham Forest (216 homes), Chappell Ridge (122 homes) and Rivers Edge (38 homes). Wyndham Forest and Chappell Ridge are mostly vinyl sided front-entry garage homes with a minimum of 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. Many of these homes have a finished 3rd floor. Rivers Edge has larger homes, 3,500 square feet on average and many of the homes have a private and wooded backyard. Rivers Edge Elementary School is a short walk from the Wyndham Forest neighborhoods.
